MISSION STATEMENT

To ensure that the residents of Haldimand and Norfolk Counties find and retain safe, clean and affordable housing regardless of income or economic circumstances.

 

 

The Counties of Norfolk and Haldimand, assumed the administration of social housing from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing on February 1, 2002.  The administrative responsibilities are under the municipal control of the Consolidated Municipal Service Manager (CMSM) and the Corporation of Norfolk County is the designated CMSM for Norfolk and Haldimand Counties.

The Social Housing Division is within the Health and Social Services Department and reports to Council through the Health and Social Services Advisory Committee.

The division is responsible for a variety of services related to social housing.  These include administration of the following services:

You may be eligible to receive up to $100 per month to help pay your rent.
