All social housing providers (subject to Part V of the
Social Housing Reform Act, 2000) in Haldimand and
Norfolk Counties are mandated to select their tenants
for rent geared-to-income (RGI) units from a Central
Waiting List or Coordinated Access Waiting List.
Norfolk
County as Service Manager is responsible for the
provision and delivery of a Central Waiting List
(Coordinated Access) service within Haldimand and
Norfolk Counties. The day-to-day management functions of
maintaining the Central Waiting List has been delegated
to the Haldimand-Norfolk Housing Corporation.
Access to rent geared-to-income (RGI) units within
social housing providers in Haldimand and Norfolk
Counties is only by application. A common application
form used by all social housing providers is

below. Applications should be filed out in their
entirety and returned to the Haldimand-Norfolk Housing
Corporation at Unit 2, 25 Kent Street North, Simcoe ON
N3Y 3S1, for processing. Information on eligibility,
building locations, unit types and other social housing
options are available from this web
site, any social
housing provider in Haldimand and Norfolk Counties or by
calling the Haldimand-Norfolk Housing Corporation at

Tenants for RGI units are selected from the Central
Waiting List on a chronological basis (date of receipt
of application). Special priority placement is afforded
to victims of family violence. Applicants requiring a
‘special needs’, supportive housing or a modified
(accessible) unit should contact the Haldimand-Norfolk
Housing Corporation or a social housing provider for
information and referral to the appropriate provider.
